Ooknakane Friendship Centre

The Ooknakane Friendship Centre is an Aboriginal not-for-profit society that is committed to providing holistic culturally driven programs and services designed to support, educate and strengthen people of all Nations.

We are located in the Okanagan Nation adjacent to the Penticton Indian Band and focus on serving the Urban Aboriginal population of the South Okanagan Similkameen area.

There is a genuine compassion and warmth that employees of Friendship Centres bring with them to work every day. Through the good times and the challenging times it is our staff who not only show up, but suit up and who are not afraid to jump in with both feet to assist wherever they are needed. These are the people that our clients have come to know and trust and in many cases they are the only support our clients have.
